Can I test it before buying?

Yes. Every MQL5 Market product includes a free demo you can run in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester. Test on your own broker's XAUUSD data before you buy, then forward-test on a demo account.

What broker account should I use?

For a gold scalping system, spread and execution matter more than anything else. A raw-spread or ECN account with low XAUUSD spreads will perform noticeably better than a standard wide-spread account on identical signals.

It is strongly recommended. A scalper needs to be running whenever the market moves; a VPS keeps it live when your own machine is off or loses connection.
