Apex Drawdown Zero enforces equity-based limits. Configure them below your prop firm's rules to leave a buffer.

The two guardians

  • DailyEquityStopPct — flatten everything and pause until the daily reset when today's equity loss reaches this percent.
  • OverallEquityStopPct — permanent stop when total equity drawdown from the initial baseline reaches this percent.

Recommended buffers

If your firm allows 5% daily / 10% overall, set 4% / 8%. Spread widening and slippage during the flatten can consume the difference — never set the EA limit equal to the firm limit.

Daily reset time

Set DailyResetHour to match your firm's reset (check whether it uses server time, CE(S)T or New York 5pm). A mismatched reset time is the most common cause of surprise breaches.

Balance vs equity

The EA measures equity (includes floating P/L), which is also what most firms measure. If your firm measures balance-based daily loss, you may loosen the daily stop slightly — but equity-based is always the safer interpretation.
